Niantic’s new event is a great way for them to allow trainers to collect each and every Pokemon in the game. That’s right, we can now even catch regional Pokemon for a limited time only! It first started as Niantic was trying out the Safari Zone events. Now, it appears the Safari zone has evolved into a travel event.
The travel even as of right now isn’t as good as the Safari zone in terms of rare Pokemon spawns. However, we can catch Asia’s regional exclusive Pokemon. Only if we can catch enough Pokemon as a team. It’s a smart way to get trainers to play together, and even get more people out in about.

Though, it is getting colder out in some areas of the world so an event like this at this time of year isn’t too ideal. It is still very fun to watch the amount of Pokemon we have caught together gradually raise to the golden tier that will unlock Farfetch’d. If you live in the parts of Asia that already has Farfetch’d. You aren’t out of luck for catching a new Pokemon!
Niantic has thought head and is give people in Asia a chance of catching Kangashan. Which must be John Hanke’s Favorite Pokemon. It seems to come up everywhere when regional Pokemon have a shot of spawning elsewhere.
Pokémon GO: Kangaskhan Is No Longer A Region Exclusive!
We, as of two hours ago, have caught a total of 1,732,236,398 Pokemon! The first day was a little slow, but once we unlocked the first tier of bonuses. There has been a large jump in the amount of Pokemon caught each day. It’s still not certain rather or not evolved Pokemon are counting towards this event.
Nice work, Trainers! You"ve helped us get closer to this week’s goal of 3 billion Pokémon. #PokemonGOtravel pic.twitter.com/Ada8OJoEI7

It doesn’t seem all to fair if it does count because you aren’t actually catching those Pokemon. Though, it is nice because if it is counting. We would never have been able to complete the 3 billion catches in the time frame we were given.
Pokémon Go: Don’t Evolve Now, Wait It Out
The good news, though, we should definitely be able to get a chance of catching Farfetch’d. Only thing is, it’s not certain when we will get the golden tier unlocked. It would be nice to see if Niantic is hosting a hidden tier after we catch 5 billion Pokemon.
