Christmas Event Prediction – OtakuKart

Holiday event pokemon go christmas

During the last Christmas event. Niantic didn’t really do a whole lot for us. It was believed that Niantic was mostly testing the new Incubator system that never made it’s way to the game. The event held would give trainers a 1-time use incubator during the first spin of the day. At that time, this event bonus was nice for many trainers who don’t spend money on the game.

The other additions to the Christmas event or Holiday Event where increased spawn for the Kanto region starter Pokemon. This, of course, was before Johto Pokemon were released, also known as generation 2. While those had increased spawn for a short time. Generation 2 baby Pokemon were able to be hatched as well. This was the first appearance of generation 2 Pokemon.

Like many other theories, it could be mentioned that generation 3 might be part of this event. However, if that’s the case, the only generation 3 Pokemon could very well be the 2 baby forms that were found in the Hoenn region. Those two baby Pokemon are Wynaut and Azurill.

Much like last year, as already seen by many, more ice type Pokemon have been spawning to help us make it feel a little more wintery. Aside from ice type spawns being increased, what about the Santa hat-wearing Pikachu? Hopefully, Niantic has already thought this one through, and won’t continue the seasons with the same “limited” addition Pikachu.

If we can count on it coming around during the same event that doesn’t really make it limited. It just means you have to wait a year to get it once again. It would be nice to have more Pikachu or even different Pokemon with different festivities.

Because many trainers are waiting for the rest of shiny Pokemon to be released. It would be nice to see more shiny Pokemon during this next event. Niantic missed a great opportunity to release Ditto’s shiny form during the Pokemon GO travel event. Ditto was released one year ago at the start of that event so it would have made for it to spawn in as a blue blob during that time.

Ditto in the Anime

We will probably see an increased spawn for all started Pokemon during this time up to generation 3 Pokemon. The reason why is because Niantic already released a few generation 3 Pokemon. It would make sense for them to go ahead and add Hoenn starters to increased spawns if they increase start Pokemon again. 0

As far as the event goes. This one is a little harder to predict that the others because this event doesn’t have much that can be extended for years to come as the game grows. Hopefully, this will be a pretty big event as well. It lasted for a total of 2 weeks which is one of the longest events Niantic has held… without extending.

Ho-oh was recently released to the public. While everyone turned their attention over to Ho-Oh finally making it into the game. Pokemon GO’s newest update rolled out. Breaking the game for many iOS users. Trainers who played the game on iOS 8 or earlier will no longer be able to play the game.

However, those trainers aren’t the only ones facing problems with the newest update. Other iOS users have been reporting they are no longer able to use their Pokemon Go plus devices. At first, they were just bugged. Now, they just aren’t even connecting to the game.

More bugs are still being reported. However, let’s go over the top 10 Pokemon to use for Ho-oh. It is thought this flying Snorlax is the toughest legendary Pokemon any trainer has tried to battle. Recently, a 3 man group was able to take this beast down. Though, it’s recommended you have around 7-10 people in a group before you can challenge this Pokemon.

Ho-Oh’s raid boss CP is 48276. If you are looking to get a perfect Ho-Oh. Look for a one that is 2222 in the catch bonus after defeating the raid boss. Not familiar with Ho-Oh or which Pokemon to use to help take it down faster? Here are the top 10 Pokemon to use when challenging Ho-Oh.

1.) Omastar

This Pokemon isn’t often seen used during battles. However, because this Pokemon can learn rock and water type moves. It’s a good suggestion. Many trainers may not have a maxed out Omastar. If not, don’t worry, this is only the beginning. Rock Throw and Water gun are recommended for fast moves. Charge moves you will want Rock Slide or Hydro Pump

2.) Golem

Golem is a trainer favorite when fighting any boss that is weak against rock or ground type moves. This Pokemon is a fairly fast attacker and has a pretty sweet movement when attacking. Rock throw and Stone Edge are the two moves you will want when facing Ho-Oh, however, watch out for Solar Beam.

3.) Raikou

If you didn’t get a chance to get a Raikou, thankfully, there are more Pokemon on this list other than Legendary counters. If you plan on using your Raikou, the moves you will want are Thunder Shock and Wild Charge. Don’t forget, you can use rare candies to power this Pokemon up.
