Konohamaru Sarutobi is one of the main characters in the Naruto series. In Boruto, he got a more advanced role, as he became the Jonin leader of Boruto, Sarada, and Mitsuki’s Team 7. Konohamaru is one of the strongest characters in Konoha. So, one wouldn’t need to worry much if he’s in a serious battle, because he can handle himself better than most people around. But, the recent chapters of Boruto had a very intense build-up to his fate.
Last we saw him, he was with another Jonin, and they were investigating a blimp that had crashed in the Fire country. However, someone from the Kara Suddenly approached them. Konohamaru’s partner was severely injured, and in the process Konohamaru likely engaged in battle as well. Since this person was a member of the Kara, everyone fretted for Konohamaru’s safety. Almost all the fans predicted that Konohamaru would be in some kind of trouble.
In the last chapter, Naruto put fuel to the fire, when he sent Boruto, Mitsuki, and Sarada to rescue Konohamaru. But, spoilers for Boruto chapter 19 are out, and it looks like Konohamaru is not in any trouble at all. In fact, he is unharmed, and so is his comrade. Boruto, Sarada and Mitsuki all come to Konohamaru’s aid immediately, and their enemy is revealed to be none other than Ao himself.
Ao has been running around with the identity of the Byakugan Slayer, and he is even in the Bingo book. As his real identity is revealed, Boruto, Sarada, and Mitsuki prepare to fight off the enemy, with Konohamaru at their side. I’m really happy that Konohamaru is unharmed. It wouldn’t look too good for him if he was beaten in his very first fight in the Boruto series. If he is fighting Ao next, I don’t think he’ll have a lot of trouble. Konohamaru has got this. I’m excited to see his powers and skills in the next chapter. But for now, that’s all we’ve got.
