Pokemon Go Upcoming Wave Of Ex-Raid Passes – OtakuKart

Pokemon Go has been a great success from last 3-4 weeks.Recently players reported that they are receiving the new set of EX-Raid passes, and according to most recent reports 51% of people who got an Ex-Raid invite are participants got an EX raid invite earlier as well and 49% are participants who did not get an EX Raid invite yet.

Pogo Hub described players who got an Ex-Raid pass in different criteria.According to PogoHub 82% of players that received an EX pass also raided this weekend before passes were distributed, and approximately 18% did not.

  • Gym badge level distribution:
    Bronze 25.67%
    Silver 40.93%
    Gold 27.32%

  • Legendary raid badge level distribution:
    Bronze 36.11%
    Silver 56.59%
    Gold 2.13%

  • Normal raid badge level distribution:
    Bronze 59.24%
    Silver 31.93%
    Gold 3.11%

There has been a decent amount of studies over how to get one of these raid passes, but no one was certain. Thankfully, though, Niantic came in to save the day. Sharing on their blog, how you to can be invited to battle Mewtwo.

The chances of Niantic abolishing ex-raids are very slim because the point of the being an EX raid is too be rare and hard. Making it almost impossible to pass up on an invitation. Follow these steps laid out by Niantic if you want to increase the chances of getting invited to an EX raid.

EX Raid Pass

This pass grants you access to an EX Raid. This pass can only be used at a specific Gym at a specific time. To receive an EX Raid Pass, you must have successfully completed a raid recently by defeating a Raid Boss at the Gym where the EX Raid Battle will be taking place. To increase your chances of receiving an EX Raid Pass:

  • Join more Raid Battles. The more Raid Battles you successfully complete, the greater your chances to receive an EX Raid Pass.

  • To increase your odds, even more, try completing raids at a variety of different Gyms.

  • Earn more Gold Gym Badges. Trainers with a high-level Gym Badge are more likely to be invited to EX Raid Battles taking place at that Gym.

Players first complained after EX Raids entered beta last summer. Although Niantic took a few months to respond to the issues, making the battles slightly easier to win an invitation into, the studio’s fixes don’t seem to have helped much for the first EX Raid of 2018.

Pokémon Go raids are a mess of bugs, and players deserve compensation
“459 raids here without a pass,” said one member of The Silph Road community, a Pokémon Go enthusiast group. “Did same raids at the same Sprint store as my friends. On got his second EX pass, one his third, and one his TENTH. Why is it so hard to just do a few waves where they only send out passes to those who have never had one?”

This is a typical comment from Pokémon Go players, many of whom have played and won hundreds of standard Raid battles without ever winning a Premium Raid pass. Despite the fairly straightforward criteria, the consensus is that EX Raids just … don’t make a ton of sense.

“Players who have successfully EX raided multiple times appear to be no more or less likely to be selected for another EX raid, compared to players who have never been invited at all,” wrote Redditor dondon151, in a comprehensive post summing up the most common complaints. “Furthermore, completing an EX raid automatically qualifies a player for the next EX wave, whereas uninvited players must continue to periodically raid at the gym to stay eligible.”

The question for many The Silph Road users and Pokémon Go fans on social media is whether the EX Raid system is even worth worrying about anymore. While Mewtwo is attractive, even necessary for serious players to capture, contending with an inexplicable system may prove far too frustrating.

“I understand Niantic is trying to keep the players engaged on a daily basis,” wrote a player musing on whether their time with Pokémon Go is over. “It’s just that I am now getting the feeling that I am not being encouraged to play often, rather I am being dictated to, play here and now.”

With the point of Pokémon being to become the very best that no one ever was, players are rightfully fed up. 2018 has only just begun; perhaps we’ll soon find more luck with the EX Raid system as the year rolls on.

Pokemon Go Made Catching Mewtwo Very Easy

Niantic has tweaked some in-game code, in the recent coding change to Pokemon Go has made Mewtwo a lot easier to catch.Mewtwo is one of the hardest to catch has undergone some changes, but its only easy provided that you get an EX Raid PassEarlier this month, Pokemon Go re-scaled all of its 3D models to take into account certain oversized Pokemon like Kyogre and Wailord. As a result, some Pokemon now appear much closer in the catch screen, which means that they’re a lot easier to catch.

Players discovered that Mewtwo was one of the Pokemon affected by the recent code tweaks. While Mewtwo originally stood far away from the player on the catch screen, it’s now much closer to the screen. Anecdotally, Mewtwo appears to stand about the same distance as a Tyranitar on the catch screen.

By this Mewtwo moved closer which makes it even easier to catch. Mewtwo’s base capture rate is 6%, which is twice that of the Legendary Birds and three times as high as Groudon or Kyogre. However, the change also renders all those “How to Catch Mewtwo” videos on YouTube obsolete, since they were all made using Mewtwo’s old distance.

This is the second Legendary Pokemon affected by the recent changes, as Kyogre was also recently pushed closer to the trainer thanks to the recent code tweaks. Players had previously complained that Kyogre was too far back due to Pokemon Go trying to fit its enormous body on screen.

Changing the distance only helps those players who actually get EX Raid Passes. Players still need to receive an invite to participate in an EX Raid, which has caused tons of discontentment with the fanbase. Many players see the EX Raid system as unfairly skewed towards players who spend money on the game, as invites are distributed to players who participate in raids frequently. EX Raids are a touchy subject among many Pokemon Go fans, especially as they see the system as easily exploitable by spoofers.Mewtwo is currently available in Pokemon Go to any player who receives an EX Raid.

Recently Pokemon Go announced that all eggs collected between 25th of January and February 1st will contain a Pokemon from the Hoenn region. That means that any egg found during the event will contain a “Generation 3” Pokemon that’s been added to the game over the last few months, including the new Rock and Ground-Type Pokemon that were added yesterday.

As part of the wonderful event, Pokemon Go also has special Super Incubators on sale, which will decrease the distance needed to hatch an egg by 67%, and you know what it means less walking more…
