Pokemon Go Multiplayer Coming Soon? – OtakuKart

Pokemon Go users may find themselves getting really excited about the latest business deal was done by its developer Niantic. What’s interesting about the whole things is hidden in some a statement from John Hawke, Niantic’s CEO. He says the addition of the Escher Reality’s AR technology is ‘incredibly exciting to us at Niantic as it significantly accelerates our work on persistent, shared AR’, before adding that the dev is ‘committed to using technology to enhance our users’ interactions with the physical world.

In reality he’s hinting that Pokemon Go are planning on taking their user vs user interactions to a whole new level, and what’s really interesting is the fact that Escher Reality’s software essentially allows developers to build AR games that work on both iPhones and Android devices, with the ability to connect cross platform devices together so that their users see and interact with the same virtual objects at the same time. Can you imagine getting that old-school Pokemon battle feel on the Gameboy except with your friends in the real-world locations?

Another interesting thing is that Escher even figured out how to build persistent AR worlds. Breaking that down to the simplest meaning, users can interact and change objects, and then revisit those changes at a later time or leave them for others to discover. This recent purchase by Niantic could hint at some not so distant plans for Pokemon Go and Harry Potter: Wizards Unite.

This is the second major acquisition Niantic has made over the last few months. Previously, Niantic purchased Evertoon to help develop a social mechanic for their various products. That led Pokemon Go players to speculate that some sort of in-game chat would eventually be added to Pokemon Go, but that is also mere speculation.

Data-miners of Pokemon Go town reported something very new and very dazzling.Data-miners noticed that Pokemon Go’s servers were now sending text bundles related to Deoxys and Castform, two of the unreleased “Gen 3” Pokemon. Both Pokemon have multiple forms and the new text bundles include lines of code for all of them.

Pokemon Go was planning to include all of Deoxys’s and Castform’s forms for a while as they were the first Generation 3 to be added, but the text bundles could hint that they could be coming in the very near future. That would be a bit of a surprise in Deoxys’s case, considering that players are expecting Rayquaza to be the next Legendary Pokemon added to the game.

Castform is expected to shift forms based on the dynamic weather system which was the biggest addition. Castform has four different forms that are weather dependent and changes both its types and attacks based on the weather.

In the main series games, Deoxys has the ability to shift forms as well, but we aren’t sure whether Pokemon Go will implement that right now or not. Each of Deoxys’s form emphasizes a different stat – its Attack Form would have the highest attack stat in Pokemon Go but would have a miserable defense stat, and frankly, we’re not sure if Pokemon Go’s set up to allow for shifting stats.

A super cute Pokemon GO video has been released, but unfortunately, it’s also a super short watch. Niantic Labs has released a Pokemon GO video which shows some of the first Generation 3 Pokemon to appear in the game. The Pokemon GO video was shot in the style of a nature documentary and is narrated by Stephen Fry.

The video bears an uncanny resemblance to the BBC’s Planet Earth series, except in place of powerful sharks and cute little rodents, there are Luvdisc and Plusle. The video even includes an original score from George Fenton, who worked on both Planet Earth and Blue Planet.

sixty-second trailer narrated by Stephen Fry starring some of the new Pokemon first seen in Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire. Niantic has been adding these new Pokemon in waves over the last few months and has heavily turned up promotional efforts in the hopes of getting more players back into the game. The trailer is scored by George Fenton, who also scored the award-winning documentaries Planet Earth, Frozen Planet, and Blue Planet.

There was one surprise for current Pokemon Go players: the inclusion of Masquerain in the trailer. Masquerain is a Bug/Flying-Type Pokemon that hasn’t actually been added to the game yet. It’s prominent role in the trailer seems to hint that we could get another wave of new Pokemon in the next couple of weeks.

Other Pokemon featured includes Mudkip, Delcatty, Luvdisc, Sharpedo, Wailord, Snorunt, Plusle, and Minun. Plusle and Minun frolicking together in the woods was an adorable scene, as the two Pokemon currently cannot be caught in the same location together. Plusle and Minun are some of the many regional-exclusi…
