Pokemon Go Valentine’s Day Event
Last year Pokemon Go celebrated Valentine’s Day celebrations were available from February 8 to February 15 and included its own special bonuses.Last year ahead of Valentine’s Day, developers, Niantic has released details of its latest Pokémon Go update.Trainers earned double the amount of Candy every time they catch, hatch and transfer Pokémon.
In particular, this meant a Buddy Pokémon will find Candy twice as fast, Pokemon like Chansey, Clefable, and “many other adorable pink Pokémon” will be encountered more frequently in the wild and Cleffa, Igglybuff, and Smoochum will also be more likely to hatch from eggs.
“And to help you paint your town pink this Valentine’s Day, Lure Modules will last for six hours for the entire duration of the event,” Niantic explained in a blog post.
Pokémon Go Valentine’s Day update was fourth in a line of themed events designed to attract players back to the game. From October 26 to November 1, Niantic launched its Halloween special and made the number of ‘spooky Pokémon’ spawning increase, including Ghastly, Haunter, Gengar, Zubat, Golbat, Drowzee and Hypno. During Thanksgiving, a Pokémon Go event ran from November 23 to 30 and gave “a special thanks to players” for their support of the mobile game so far.
Then in 2017, at Christmas, Pikachu was given a festive Santa’s hat when he spawned in the wild. The special ‘Holiday Pikachu’ was added to Pokémon Go mid-December, along with Baby Pokémon such as Togepi and Pichu – Pikachu’s own infant form. Holiday Pikachu was only available until December 29.
Niantic already skipped Thanksgiving Event this year, so there could be a chance that Valentine’s event could be skipped as well. But Pokemon Go has this monthly get together event know as Community Day.
The next Pokemon GO Community Day is going to take place on February 24 Saturday, with an addition to the increased sightings of Dratini. Trainers might also be able to collect a lot of Stardust during the upcoming event. The most important thing could be leveling up Pokemon and stockpiling it usually requires a seriously boring grind.
