Game of Thrones S8 is under works right now, and the filming has wrapper up at a couple of places already. Although the security this time was supposed to be tight, we do have a lot of spoilers already, and I believe we’ll get way more as the filming continues. Since Game of Thrones S8 is going to air in 2019, there’s a lot of filming still to be done.
Now, coming to the new spoilers for Game of Thrones Season 8, we all know several characters are going to die, because that’s how Game of Thrones has always been. The Army of the Dead is already in Westeros now, and it only means more characters are going to die in the final season than usual.
Now, before I go any further, I want to let you guys know that this spoiler isn’t from a confirmed source. You can choose to believe it, or not, but it is what it is. Further, I think there is a bug chance that the spoilers are indeed true. So, please continue only if you’re willing to spoil a huge death from Game of Thrones Season 8. I think what drew me into the story was actually the heroine herself. Sure we have the “pitiful background”, as I like to call it, where because of her ability to see Ayakashi, she was abandoned my her mother and later taken after being in an orphanage for a while, taken in by her grandfather. During the time he was alive, he taught her how to cook delicious food, so she can feed the Ayakashi, as a means to protect herself. However here’s the kicker: Her grandfather was apparently in deep debt in the Hidden Realm, and used her as a collateral by agreeing to make her the Ogre-God’s bride. But the difference here is the Heroine’s mindset: OH HELL NO, SCREW MARRIAGE, there is no way in hell is she going to marry an Ogre-God (that harsh though, I gotta admit), instead she will get a job and pay off the debt herself. The debt of course is one hundred million yen, which is going to be a rough one, but if she can succeed with her opening eatery that Ginji suggested to her, with her knack to cook, there is definitely hope for her to succeed through this method (despite the shop being located in what is considered an “unlucky” area).
Another intriguing part about Aoi’s character, is actually her trauma. It is quite uncommon to find a protagonist whose’ trauma is related to hunger/starvation. When her mother abandoned her, it appears Aoi may have not eaten for a few days, and was starving to the point she thought she was going to die. That is when she saw the Ayakashi, she gave it permission to eat her, but instead it saved her by providing her food. That’s how she came to learn while there are some scary and dangerous Ayakashi, there are also kind and cute ones.
And it’s not just Aoi that draws me in, but the Ogre-God and Ginji as well, and even her grandfather, Shiro. Was the promise made between the two really because of debt, or did the grandfather know he was going to die and was worried about her being alone? Honestly I would hope for the later, because otherwise, man that would be a freaking cruel twist to the story– of her grandfather retrieving her only to use her as a collateral for his loan. (Which does make me suspicious considering she had to be sent to an orphanage for a period of time, unless he was in the other world during that period of time). And it is because of that Heroine feels sad that she may have been betrayed by the one she trusted in most, and fears that she may have never been loved/cared for to begin with.
Amazingly, the Ogre-God actually had a very sparse screen-time in this episode, but his first encounter with Aoi was a memorable one to say the least. She actually hands him over a lunch box when she hears he’s hungry. It makes me wonder if she carries a whole bunch on her or she chose to sacrifice her lunch for the day in order to protect Humanity. I couldn’t help but laugh when he scratched her hand because all I could think of was, “He just cut her hand? Well he had long nails…” It was also quite hilarious how the “Torture in Hell” is actually all about pampering Aoi.
The animation was not perfect, but it was still freaking gorgeous. I am especially fond of the the Opening Theme, it did a great job of making me excited with its catchy tune, and the lyrics are very pretty.
With the orchestrated combination of malicious comments and articles, rumours running rampant with a mix of truth of lies, and seeds of doubts being planted among the members are all the symptoms to the rift forming between the members. It had gotten so bad that Otoharu has made the decision to disband Idolish7, again. However I don’t think it’s an official disbandment, but simply a temporary one where they will cancel all of their public appearances and such, and force the boys to regroup and start communicating properly amongst each other. This comes about just as they received the invitation to attend JIMA, one they should be celebrating not overlooking due to tensions between them.
Of all the members, it is Nagi who is the only one who manages to remain grounded throughout in this whole fiasco. And it hurts his heart to see his teammates be at each other’s throats, bitter at the secrets that either been kept from them, or secrets they are being accused of. Mitsuki learned through the malicious articles how it was thanks to Iori that he was able to even get a chance to be recruited. Had it not been for him, he wouldn’t have debuted it. This of course is a tough pill to swallow, especially since for his entire life, while Mitsuki loves his brother dearly, he also can’t help but feel bitter about being overshadowed by him, again and again and again. It actually makes it even worse to know that Iori never dreamed of becoming an idol in the first place, he simply did it under the condition his brother could make it though. Honestly, I don’t know how anyone is supposed to react to that– hell, I don’t know how I would handle that either.
Ever since Tamaki broke down, I have noticed Sogo has become extremely protective of him, especially after the incident with his father. In fact, Sogo is the first to defend Tamaki, and understands him best. He knows the things he blurts out when he’s upset are usually empty words, and just his way of releasing his emotions, but there were a couple of times when he went a bit too far, such as unintentionally provoking Yamato by saying he expects him to understand the pain and shock Tamaki is going through, having been a secret love child of a famous actor.
And finally, we have TRIGGER, who finally learned through Riku about the truth behind the summer song. Gaku had initially dragged Tsumugi out in hopes to gain more information in why his father hates Otoharu so much, but instead learned their song was actually stolen. And all it did was validate Tenn’s suspicions. He had a bad feeling this was the case, but chose to keep it to himself, fearing it would hurt Ryu and Gaku. His cold facade of acting as “business partners” melted when Ryu got the two of them to open up to each other. (Side Note: I have a feeling Ryu and Nagi would be great friends)
In fact Gaku was so upset with his father, he gave his buddies a heads up he might have to quit TRIGGER because he wants to go and punch his father in the face. But now that the fact Tenn and Riku are twins have been made public, it looks like TRIGGER as a whole is about to retaliate, in perhaps a way Sousuke never expected them to. If there’s one thing we have learned, there are two people you should never piss off: Sogo and Tenn. If you hurt the ones who are dear to them, they will come for you.
For the last two episodes, Hiro has been tirelessly trying to get Zero Two to open up to him, and talk about whatever was bothering her. So this week Hiro confesses his love to Zero Two, but it was anything but romantic— to be exact it was terribly anticlimax, but I think it was meant to be that way. Hiro said it out of desperation in hopes for her to finally open up to him, and instead she lashes out, interprets his words as the intimate act itself, and outright calls him a Fodder. Zero Two’s instability has everything to do with being unable to cope with the fact she’s a monster, through and through. She keeps hurting herself, breaking mirrors because she can’t stand seeing herself, and has become even more obsessed with attaining Humanity. Oddly, she mentions how she is ‘running out of time’, and believes if she kills enough Klaxosaurs, she will become Human— but I can’t help but feel APE lied to her, intending to make full use of her by giving her drive to a promise that cannot be kept.
And finally, she has finally reached her breaking point. She decides to speed of the process, and emerges as the demon looking to drain all of Hiro life and become human. By doing so, Hiro is about to witness a good portions of her memories, providing clarity to his own fuzzy memories that he shares, revealing Zero Two’s Darling was perhaps right under her nose the entire time. The most prominent memory is the one was first time they met: Outside of the Garden, under the Holy Tree. I am curious to find out whether or not they made a pact there (potentially with a kiss), which may have played a crucial role enabling him to become her chosen partner.
9’α is a particularly interesting character, who has formerly worked alongside with Zero Two, and identifies her as Iota. He is especially intrigued by Squad 13, and is curious about what sort of tests Dr. Franxx is running through them. His personality is definitely the type to try and get under people’s skin, or provoke them, so it is incredibly satisfying to see Ichigo, as the leader of Squad 13 be able to hold her ground against him.
The first stage of the journey is to travel a rarely-used, rough-looking route called the Honichi Main Road. There they find a gruff raccoon, who tells them that for 500 units of currency he will take them to the suspension bridge. Along the way Mikochi asks Hakumei some questions about her past and the caravan, and the raccoon clues in that the girls are on a deadline.
the caravan… so imagine Hakumei’s shock when she pulls out her telescope and realizes that the caravan has already passed by! They’d been looking at the wrong side of the trade route all along, and the caravan had slipped by under their noses just as the sun was rising.
